5 Blogging tips for beginners

Need some blogging tips? When we talk about blogging, almost everyone out there who wants to start up a blog wants to excel but problem is very few excel right away. Most of them fail because they don’t follow the right procedures or probably because they ended up into a career they don’t like with intentions of reaping money out of it because they’ve seen others reap from it. You might want to know how to blog successfully or how to start up a blog butwhat you should know is blogging goes past owning a blog or writing posts for it. It’s all about passion.

Now back to revenue, i have seen bloggers earning huge sums of money from their blogs and wondered how they reap all that from blogging but the point here is the more years you spend blogging, the more knowledgeable you become and the more money you make. Below i lay down some of the 5 tips you can adopt to make your blogging journey a success.

Blogging tips for beginners

1 – Blog for Passion

Passion is key when it comes to blogging. If you don’t have a passion for blogging then it’s advisable not to engage in it because you will always give up at one point. Just like i said earlier, it usually takes some good time before you start making good money from your blog and it’s passion that drives you through this period. Most bloggers give up just months after blogging because of various reasons ranging from failure to make money from the blog to failure to find time for writing articles on it. If you are going to be a good blogger then you have to have passion for it. You don’t have it, develop it!

2 – Write about Topics you know

It’s become a tendency of most bloggers writing about high-paying keywords yet they know less or nothing about it. You are not going to go out there, read what others have written and try to trace out an article from that. A good blogger researches and publishes his findings. If you are not sure about a topic, make sure you don’t write about it. Only write about the topics you know and that way your points will seems more original and realistic.

3 – Write quality articles

The quality of the articles you write defines your blog. The reason why some blogs are preferred to others is because readers believe their articles cite out the truth and are original as compared to the rest. If you write quality articles, readers will start gaining confidence in you and will believe almost whatever you have to present in your future web posts. Your articles shouldn’t be less that 1500 words and should contain no duplicate content. Posts with duplicate content usually don’t rank well on search engines. So make sure you come up with high quality original content.

4 – Don’t be Money Minded

It’s a good thing to join blogging with intentions of making money and in fact every blogger out there wants to make the most of their blogs in terms of revenue but that doesn’t mean you should make the money out of the expense of your readers.

It’s actually advisable to first work on writing quality content, building an email list and driving traffic to your blog before you even think of monetizing it. Most bloggers fail because they are money minded forgetting that some times it can even take years to transform your blog into a dream blog. That’s something that just doesn’t come overnight. Blog for passion and the rest shall follow.

5 – Be open to new opportunities

5 years ago when i had just started blogging, i thought monetizing a blog started with Adsense and ended with it because i didn’t have any companies willing to place banners on my blog. The more years i spent blogging i realized i could actually make more money from my blog through other monetization schemes that Adsense couldn’t earn me.

All this is because i decided to explore almost all opportunities out there. In the blogging world, opportunities will lead you to opportunities and will expand your career the more. At the moment my primary source of income is Affiliate Marketing and i prefer it to Adsense. Never be scared of trying out something new and thats the only way you will mature as a blogger.

This article is kind of straight forward and shallow but i wanted to give you some of the many tips that have transformed thousands of influential bloggers out there including me. Once these tips are put in place then you won’t have any regret being a blogger.
