You have been banned from Google Adsense or perhaps you feel it’s not living up to your expectations so what next?. Usually new bloggers opt for Google Adsense as a primary source of income which i did too. A few years ago when i started my blogging career i didn’t know so much about monetization schemes but at-least i knew Google Adsense and the benefits it would bring basing on several comments i heard from friends.
But truth is as you get older into your blogging career, you realize you can make a lot of money from your blog using other monetization schemes. When i talk about money i mean money that Adsense won’t bring you in a month. I used to read stories of several bloggers earning tens of thousands from their respective blogs monthly and would wonder how the hell i would ever get close to even quarter of that not until i realized i could even make twice that a few years later.
What are the best alternatives for Google Adsense
In this article i share some of the best alternatives for Google Adsense that will make you good money off your blog.
1 – Media.Net
Media.net is one of the largest contextual advertising platforms in the world, and exclusively powers the Yahoo! Bing Network Contextual Ads Program globally. Using innovative contextual targeting technology, Highly relevant and targeted ads are shown to engaged users. It can earn you an income like Google Adsense would do. Only problem is you need over 100,000 monthly US traffic if you are to qualify for their program. However, some people have complained about fluctuations in their income pattern but that doesn’t stop you from giving it a try. If your traffic is well targeted, Media.net can even earn you more money than Adsense. A couple of bloggers have testified to making more money from Media.net than Adsense with the same traffic volume meaning it’s worth a big try and if lucky you could even make more than what Adsense made you.
2 – RevenueHits
RevenueHits is currently the second best alternative nest to Media.net. It is owned and operated by MyAdwise Limited, a Israeli-based company that started operations on 2008. With RevenueHits you can monetize websites, widgets, search, tool-bars and IM applications not forgetting the potential of making a good income from it as well. It comes second on the list because a number of surveys from various polls have cited it out as second from Media.net. Scores of bloggers have testified to making thousands of dollars from it monthly and i believe you can too. The only drawback is you might need a good volume of traffic to make good money out of it depending on the kind of niche you are in.
3 – Infolinks
Infolinks is a global advertising platform offering ad solutions for both publishers and advertisers. It’s a contextual network implicating it can even be used alongside Google Adsense because it doesn’t violate their terms and conditions.
Infolinks can also be a good alternative for Google Adsense but the only problem with it is you require massive traffic especially US traffic if you are to make some reasonable amount of money from it. If your blog receives less that 1 Million page views a month then infolinks might not be best for you. If you feel like giving it a try click here to get started.

4 – BidVertiser
BidVertiser is a Pay Per Click (PPC) network that was founded in 2003, the same year Adsense began operations. From my own experiment, BidVertiser doesn’t work for low traffic websites. If you get less than 10,000 ad impressions then you won’t make any reasonable income but in case you do, you might have a good journey with it. Very many have called BidVertiser a scam but all i can say is it’s not and it does pay as long as you reach their minimum payout threshold.
5 – Chitika
Despite having a low PPC rate compared to Adsense, Chitika can still earn you much if your traffic is in place. One good thing with this network is the ease in approval, you will apply for an account and get approved there and then unlike Adsense where you even stand a chance of rejection. Chitika currently offers three ad types, Mobile Ads, Search Ads and Local Ads.
6 – VigLink
VigLink is an in-text advertising network. It highlights the links in your web content and automatically converts them into affiliate links meaning if you write about a music player, VigLink will turn the text into an affiliate link that your readers can click and if they make any purchase, you are commissioned for the sale.
7 – Adversal
Adversal serves very relevant ads that will get you high click through rates but it doesn’t work for every blog especially low traffic sites. You need at least a minimum of 50,000 monthly page views and a 60 days online presence to get enrolled to their program.
This wraps up the list but one thing i always tell people is, focus on writing quality content and driving traffic to your blog. If those two are done properly, you won’t find a hard time making good money from your blog and almost every monetization scheme will somehow work for you.
