The themes and plugins you install will use a certain amount of resources on your server which could keep increasing as your visitors increase. If you want to test a server’s ability to run WordPress effectively try sending 50 – 100 visitors on your blog at the same time and experiment whether it will impact on the server’s performance or response time. A server that maintains a good response time and performance irrespective of the traffic is the one you should sign up for. This test will show you the best WordPress web hosting companies and believe me, all the hosting companies i listed below should appear on your list.

1 – WP Engine

Probably the most expensive on the list but trust me, they provides one of the best WordPress hosting services. If you run a high traffic WordPress site (estimate of 400,000 + users a month) you should sign up with WP Engine and be guaranteed of the best response time and performance on your website. The have similar packages for lesser views too that cost a bit less. WP Engine has 4 plans, Personal Plan, Professional Plan, Business Plan and Premium Plan. The Personal Plan allows 1 WordPress installation, allows up to 25 visits a month, gets you 10GB of local storage and allows unlimited data transfer at just $29 / Month. The other three plans are quite expensive than that but worth it. If you don’t like their services, you have 60 days to request for a full refund.

2 – SiteGround

If you can’t afford WP Engine, my next best recommendation is SiteGround. To test their server, i signed up for a 1 month hosting package and migrated one of my blogs to the server. Next thing i did was send visitors but guess what? despite having approximately 78 visitors on my web site at the same time, the performance was still great and i noticed a great response time too. Their shared plans begin from as low as $3.95 / month but also offer one of the best WordPress managed hosting services.

Thanks for sharing these top web host providers. I was looking for one 🙂

Last week, I had done a Google search for “best web hosting providers” and found that there were over few 100 web host providers and over 100 different factors to consider before finding an ‘ideal’ web host that would match one’s personal requirements and budget.

For me, the most important factors were “up time,” “bandwidth,” and “customer support,” (Few months back I had received a great bandwidth and uptime offer, but a horrible customer support…)

What do you think? Which factors are important to narrow down one’s searches that matches their requirements and budget?

Thanks for sharing your best web host list … appreciate it 🙂

For WordPress CPU and Memory Allotments is key. Some plugins consume a lot of memory that increase with traffic implicating if the allocated memory is not enough your site might become slow. Bandwidth is vital too!
