Google Page Rank is measured on a scale of 0 – 10 and is mainly based on backlinks plus a few more other factors implicating pages that have much of high quality backlinks tend to have a better rank on search engines.
There are very many pr tools (Page Rank Tools) that can help check a blog’s page rank. At the moment, you can use this old PageRank Checker because it provides accurate results. There are a couple of other page rank tools on the internet that can do the same too but only problem is their results are not reliable and are not accurate in most cases.
Do these to improve Google Page Rank
1 – Write Quality Content
If you want to improve your page rank then you have to focus on writing quality content. Make sure you avoid copying articles from other blogs or writing short articles. Keep your articles at a minimum of 1500 words if you want them to rank well on search engines. Writing quality original content will help you attract quality backlinks on your blog which is vital when it comes to page rank.
Good content solves a problem or provides the best perspective to a story or topic which can easily prompt your reader to share it hence, improving it’s page relevancy. All am trying to say it make sure your articles solve or provide the best perspective to a topic.
2 – Build Quality Backlinks
Truth is you Page Rank will hardly move a step forward if you have poor backlinks or have no backlinks or have less of it. Backlinks are like votes. If a website has very many votes from highly relevant websites then it’s page relevancy will increase as well implicating when a website that ranks 8/10 on Google Page Rank scale adds up to your backlinks then your page rank will increase as well.
This doesn’t mean you have to go out there and spam every forum and website because it will not work. One mistake people make is buy backlinks from un-trusted sources which often leads their website’s to Google Penalty. If you write quality content, you will get thousands of backlinks for your blog.

One thing i will also talk about is updating your old posts in case of changes. So many bloggers nowadays publish posts and fail to look back on them to make updates in case updates are released on a topic. A few years from now i will have to revise this post and make necessary changes in case there emerges any more effective ways of improving a website’s page rank or if better page rank checking tools are innovated. Remember to always keep your blog updated.

Google recently announced that websites that are secured with Secure Socket Layers (SSL) will be given more priority on search engine implicating you shouldn’t wait any longer to add one to your website. Some web hosting providers like DreamHost provide free SSL certificates on their packages but you can buy one exclusively as well.
7 – Make your Website responsive
Just like the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) announcement, responsive websites currently have more priority on search engines. A responsive website is one that re-sizes on all media screens making it’s view correspond with a device’s media screen. If your website is not responsive then you should think of redesigning it using Bootstrap or rather play around with CSS Media Queries. If you are using WordPress, there are several plugins that can make your website responsible.
