How to install Snapchat on PC

Snapchat is currently among the fastest rising social networks and has gained massive popularity. It’s being used by a number of famous celebrities which has also encouraged many to follow the same lead of getting their names in the application’s database.

The idea behind the Application was to make it operational to only mobile operating systems but however that doesn’t mean you cant install the application on a personal computer or laptop. Several mobile applications have been installed on personal computers operating systems through using mobile OS emulators.

Briefly, in case you don’t know what an emulator is, it is a software that enables a computer system to behave like another computer system. Emulators enable host systems to run software exactly like the guest system. I will mention two examples of Android emulators which are: Andyroid (Andy OS) and Blue Stacks because they are the ones am going to use in our guidelines for installing Snapchat on our personal computer or laptop. They are the most popular Android emulators too.

How do we Install Snapchat on PC

Before we continue, you must first know how to install these two Android emulators. Please refer to the articles below:

Andy OS: Download Andyroid Here
Blue Stacks: Download Blue Stacks Here

Once you are done installing any of the two emulators you are just steps closer to having Snapchat installed on your PC. By default, the emulators come pre-installed with Google Play store and it’s the same application we are going to use for downloading the Snapchat APK and installing it. One good thing with Google Play store is applications are automatically installed after download and you don’t have to go through the hassle of uploading the APK to the emulator.

Remember before we download any application from Google Play Store we have to first sign in using our Gmail address. In most cases the emulators automatically prompt Google Play’s configuration during it’s configurations and finish set up when all configurations are set but in case you haven’t yet singed in to the service, click on the application’s icon and a sing in box will show up. Fill in the right credentials and you will be granted access to the play store.

After signing into Google Play Store, all you have to do is search for Snapchat, download it and install it on your emulator. After installation, the application is ready for use hence, you can open it and sign up for an account.

Note:

Make sure you download the applications right from Google Play Store because you are sure it’s a trusted source. There are many APKs on the internet but try to avoid them. Also, i would recommend Andy OS to Blue Stacks. I have tried using both and they provide almost the same functionalities. The good thing with Andy OS is it’s cross-platform and supports all operating systems (IOS, Windows and Android). Blue Stacks however remains the biggest and most used Android emulator currently with over 140 Million users world wide. It would also be nice giving it a try.

That’s it for installing Snapchat on PC. Please feel free to share the post with your friends if this tutorial worked for you or perhaps drop a comment below if you have anything to ask or if it failed to work for you.
